Forgive my ignorance, and this may have been asked already:

By all reports, the Yudof plan is looking to generate just under $200m from salary cuts--the rest of the 813m deficit from campus cuts and fee increases.

According to your first table--and those I have sen elsewhere--the Yudof plan saves $666m, more than three times the sought amount.Indeed, the projected cut to the top two tiers alone would cover the shortfall. If that werre thought unfair, why is not a percentage cut 2/3 smaller for all 7 tiers than the one just passed not adequate to the proclaimed task?

Thanks for the analysis.
